The primary function of an Oil Seal is to exclude substances such as water, dust and dirt from mechanical equipment, whilst remaining effective in maintaining lubrication for the seal lip. We offer these in six main types with the most common being Type R (Fully rubber covered) and Type RST (Fully rubber covered with a dust lip). As a standard, our oil seals are available in Nitrile, which offers very good self-lubricating properties and an excellent wear resistance. For an increased resistance to chemicals and higher temperatures, we offer Type GR Oil Seals in Viton elastomer. We mainly offer metric sizes but if you have need of an imperial size, we will endeavour to meet your requirements. Furthermore, we can offer Oil seals with a special stainless steel or mild steel outer casing, for applications where speed and pressure are of a more demanding nature.
